Fresh milled wheat

I have been Fresh-milling wheat since January of 2024. It is truly a blessing to have friends who shared this information with me. I can eat the bread and baked goods using fresh milled wheat. Start with Sue’s Healthy Minutes podcast  https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sues-healthy-minutes-with-sue-becker-the-bread-beckers/id1609279985

I recommend listening to episodes 1-4 at least twice each, then 5-9. Then jump around to your needs.

I own the wondermill mill from https://pleasanthillgrain.com/wondermill-grain-mill-wonder-mill-flour-grinder  also found on BreadBecker’s website https://www.breadbeckers.com/store/pc/WonderMill-c318.htm

and a bread maker from pleasant hill https://pleasanthillgrain.com/zojirushi-bb-pdc20ba-home-bakery-virtuoso-plus-breadmaker  also found at https://www.breadbeckers.com/store/pc/AutoBakery-Zojirushi-2-lb-Home-Bread-Maker-Virtuoso-PLUS-BB-PDC20-BLACK-11p3659.htm that makes 2# loaves.

I ordered these items in 2024. Still perfect working condition. It is an initial investment but with how many things I’ve made and that I can eat ( I am “commercial” gluten sensitive. I can eat fresh milled wheat which naturally produces gluten, fresh milling keeps all nutrients of the wheat berry – including germ and bran – which is stripped off in commercial flours for increased shelf life and therefore removes our natural ability to digest gluten.)

With my Gluten sensitivity to commercial foods, it took me 2 weeks to detox and assimilate to this bread before my gut tolerated this fresh milled flour homemade bread.  TAKE IT SLOW.

You can order bulk wheat berries from Breadbeckers.com. She has drop ship sites perhaps close to your area. We aren’t close to GA, so I UPS’d my first shipment as she delivers the large amounts in bigger buckets. I ordered the two piece lids (screw on lids) from her too, and then bought more at farm stores/Lowes. I see Azure sells the buckets and two piece.

Now I order wheat berries through azurestandard.com as they drop ship about 35 miles from my house it’s like a co-op. They deliver large quantities in paper bags like potato bags and have many other amazing products.

Here are the wheat berries I have stored in buckets in large quantities:

Hard red, organic

Hard white, organic. These are both used in sandwich breads, pizza dough, noodles, pretzels.

Soft red, organic

Soft white, organic. These are both used for baked goods, cookies, cakes, soft breads, cinnamon rolls, desserts, etc.

I also have Kamut/Einkhorn/Khorasan the ancient bread and really low or no Gluten content. I’ll mix this into the other recipes.

Golden flaxseed in medium quantities, I fresh grind for yogurts and sandwich breads

Millet, spelt, rolled oats I have in small quantities.

It’s an investment initially, less costly over time.
